The O.C.T.A.N.E. Conference is an initiative to advocate the learning of a cultural approach to evangelism instead of an event-based approach. The belief is that evangelism can happen in a more dynamic way if the church restructures it’s culture to resemble the church in Acts 1,2. The past and current evangelistic trend puts a strong focus on fundraising. O.C.T.A.N.E. is encouraging churches to use Prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit to be the prominent forms of currency. If prayer becomes the culture of the church and the power of the Holy Spirit is invoked in our processes, it is believed that evangelism will not be relegated to an evangelistic event. “And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” Acts 2:47
O.C.T.A.N.E. stands for Organizing Churches To Activate Non-stop Evangelism.
Mission – Equip the church to partner with the Holy Spirit so that the three part commission given by Christ in Mark 16:15,16; Luke 24:47;Matthew 28:19,20 can be efficiently accomplished.
